For over 15 years, I have been helping friends and family get their photos and memorabilia out of their boxes! We have made scrapbooks of their travels, family history albums and tribute or memorial albums for friends and family members who have passed away as a way to heal! I got great pleasure helping them tell the stories of their lives. One year ago, I decided that my hobby needed to become a business.
Several years ago I started organizing my own photos as a way of preserving my family history. My desire to delve into my past was driven by my curiosity to know more about my maternal great grandfather, Charles T. Fisher, one of the original 1908 founders of the Fisher Body Company. Perhaps it was Charles’ spirit of entrepreneurialism that inspired me to start this business, though I was not lucky enough to have met him. As a way to honor my past and my great grandparents', I choose their images to grace my bags and other promotional materials. My life partner Lyvett has carried the love of photography and design since a young age. She encouraged me to start this business over a year ago and this year she joins us as marketing director, merchandising whiz and window display diva. Our front window is the talk of the neighborhood! Her creativity and design abilities compliment my organizational/editing and people skills. She shares the desire to help people tell the story of their lives through their photo and memorabilia collection. We have found that many of our family photos and memorabilia have not been preserved. We know that we are not alone in this experience. It saddens us to know that so many lives are left in boxes. Without someone to take them out, all too often they and the stories behind them get lost. We believe that getting your memories and those of your families out of their boxes is an important way to honor your life. Let us help you tell the story of your life!
