What shape or size is your box?

On this page, we'll be sharing stories of what we are learning about the history and
story of our collective experience with our photo and memorabilia "boxes"!

How long have we been taking photos of our lives? How have we saved them?
How have we lost them? How have we have found them? How many do we keep?
Do we throw them away? What do we do when we inherit someone else's box?

Where do we keep them? Shoeboxes? File cabinets? Dresser drawers?
Suitcases? Moving boxes? Our harddrives? Trunks? Storage units?

Why do we leave our lives in these boxes?

Two years ago I started asking friends, family and strangers: "You know that box of photos?" and over 90% of the time they replied with a knowing nod (like they are picturing it in their minds' eye):"Oh yes, I know that box!"
